Hey everyone,

I run Grape Nomad (u/thegrapenomad) - creating fun and engagin content around wine, regional food, travel and industry stories across Asia and beyond.

I’m looking for a reliable, sharp video editor to turn raw talking-head footage, podcast recordings, and on-location travel clips into punchy, well-paced Reels/Shorts, with potential for longer YouTube-style edits down the line.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Pacing & Flow: Natural hooks and tight pacing.
  • Clean Motion & Typography: Tasteful, legible subtitles, minimal graphic callouts and good framing (not cheesy animated templates).
  • Sound Design: Crisp audio leveling, subtle ambient sound effects and complementary background music that doesn't overpower the voiceover.
  • Storytelling Sense: Ability to pull narrative highlights from interviews and food/travel clips.

Workflow & Deliverables:

  • Format: 9:16 vertical for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Assets: Footage provided via Google Drive (proxies provided where necessary).
  • Turnaround: 48–72 hours per batch.
  • Volume: 2–4 short-form clips per week to start, with room to scale into a consistent monthly arrangement if we click.

Compensation:

  • Short-Form: $25 – $40 USD per finished clip (depending on edit complexity, motion design, and source footage length). Open to discussing a flat monthly retainer once workflow is dialed in.
